But I'm going to try to isolate exactly what background object is cause this error.Diablo 2 Resurrected has just been announced at BlizzCon 2021, with Blizzard now revealing the PC requirements for the incoming remaster – and confirming that mods will be supported, to boot. My recommendation for now, is to not to do crafting in an area with lots of NPCs. I'm 99% certain this is what's causing the crash. If you hover over one of these objects (NPCs I think), it will try generate hover text, but for some reason this gives an exception while inside the cube interface. So what is happening is if you open the horadric cube, there are some cursor positions that are directly above objects in the background (behind the cube UI panel).

This is because the overlay is allowing the mouse to interact through the popup panel. Another example of this hidden interaction is if you open your character screen and click to the far left (into the D2MultiRes 'filler UI'), you will notice your character begins to move. It's just invisible because your UI overlay is blocking the text. character screen, horadric cube, merc screen) your cursor is still interacting with the game's objects by triggering hover texts. The crash in related to D2MultiRes and how it allows your cursor to interact 'through' UI overlay of the Horadric cube. Here is my theory as to what is happening.

Here is a screenshot of the exact position for my setup: The crash will always occur when i move my mouse to the top left area around the transmute button. I'm running 1920x1200 resolution window roughly centered position on my 2560x1440 screen. Here are the steps:ġ) Start your character in the rogue encampmentģ) Move your cursor all around the left portion of the screen (horadric cube interface)Ĥ) Depending on your resolution and window position there will be an area which will trigger the crash. I can reproduce this problem consistently now. Usually my mouse passes through that point when moving to hit transmute.Ģnd Edit: I think I'm one step closer to nailing this problem. What I have found is that this problem occurs (sometimes) when you place your mouse cursor just to the top right of transmute button. But I still got the error.Įdit: After some more testing, the problem seems NOT to be related to the amount of time you wait as I originally thought.

I wanted to have more inventory space without changing the entire game around I have seen other requests for this so I thought I would post my findings.
